OpenOffice.org 2.0 arrives 
Version 2.0 of OpenOffice.org, the excellent free office suite, has been released. I’ve been using the last couple of release candidates, and have been very impressed with the changes to the interface, as well as many of the new features and functions. Specifically, the improved PDF writer is great. In fact, I recently used OpenOffice.org Writer to create and publish a quick start guide for a client.
Maybe publishers and editors will start accepting manuscripts in OpenOffice.org Writer format. Or even in the OpenDocument Format, which OOo Writer (but not Word) supports.
